Tikki despaired when she was ejected from the Miraculous and saw her Bearer’s state. Her power had only protected Alexander from Shere Khan’s onslaught, leaving him with bruises and burns all over his body.
The Tiger had his Moth Miraculous kicked off but the Ladybug Bearer had lost his yo-yo, leaving this a physical match. However, the smoke was too thick and choking Alexander with the heat getting to his head.
This was a moment that every Kwami feared to face. Tikki and Plagg above all else. In the event a Bearer of their’s was left in no condition to fight and their Miraculous was about to fall into the hands of evil… a Kwami was to leave their Bearer to preserve the greater good.
When Shere Khan loomed closer through his own painful burns, the cruel reality set in on Tikki.
“Tikki…” Alexander coughed, stammering to stand, “I need-“ However, he felt both earrings leave his ears before he glanced up at a heartbroken Tikki.
“What is she-“ Shere Khan coughed out in shock.
“I-I can’t-“ Tikki choked out, this time from sadness. “I’m sorry, Alex, I-I can’t…” She flew away up over the Great Blaze itself, tears leaking out of her shut eyes. But she could not ignore Shere Khan’s roar when he went in for the kill.

Alexander’s death is maintained in my crossover but as a canon event from both Mowgli and Tikki. It’s my way of giving the Kwamis character arcs of their own while also being mentors to their Bearers.
As far as Mowgli knows, Alexander told Tikki to flee but how would he react knowing the truth? I don’t wanna make it a liar revealed kind of drama llama buuuuuut the guilt is something she will wrestle with.
