This illustration I like to call sanctuary, though restraint is an important part to it.
I've been enjoying emotional themed art for a while. There's periods where my mental energy is a mess and I'd like nothing than to whisk away, but these low states provided means to find ideas by breaking myself down and tying these aspects and feelings and thoughts into ideas, concepts, then comms.
These are partially vent art by nature. Each person has their own approach towards vent art and ideas. Maybe I'll break my process down in journal one day, but I like to express my feelings in a way that's simple yet complex and the use of objects being a symbolism of it.
The barb wire are the chains of society that restrains Atun. The flower being the thing brings him sanctuary, and the willingness to cherish it and keep it living even cost of himself.
