To work on pure reason is a trap, one where people fool themselves into thinking they can be above all by being all rational, unmoving by fallacy, and defender of truth. But reality is always more nuanced than that. We are mortal beings; thus, we are flawed and susceptible to error.
No one is above hypocrisy.

But this doesn't mean we can't recognize our faults and try to improve on them; that is what makes us mortal, after all. When we come face-to-face with our faults and deny their presence, only then have we truly lost ourselves.
