A piece dedicated to the two years I lived in a rental with a severe black mold infestation. We moved in and it only took months for things to spiral out of control. Blurred days and hazy colors, rashes, cognitive and executive dysfunction. It’s been a little over a year now since we were evicted. Words can’t express what it was like, but I hope this gives a better idea of how it felt.

Hopefully this doesn't come off as weird, as I understand this is a bit of a personal piece, but you do very well with conveying emotions through abstraction and composition. It's a very cluttered piece with lots of overlapping aspects, and not a lot of clear outlines, which adds to the haziness, which makes it feels very overwhelming and difficult to parse. I imagine this might be similar to what you were feeling while going through this, and I think you managed to convey that very effectively.
No no, this isn’t weird at all- I’m begging for people to understand what it was like with this piece, so the fact you were able to pick what you did up from it means so much. It means I was able to communicate it well! Very much a collage of overlapping memories and muddied colors when I look back on it all. Something also that was a symptom was constant tinnitus, so it just added to the disorientation.
