The most unrealistic part of this is the retail worker remembering any random customer's purchase lmao.

If it was a regular retail store, I'd absolutely agree, lol. But since this is a specialty shop (one might even call it a boutique), depending on the amount of time passed and how much they care about customers in general, it stands a better chance of happening. That being said, I've had some employees at places like Walmart recognize me a while later and ask me about something I asked about. The bigger the conversations, the better they remember.
