Last year I had the privilege to work with the wonderful
.
I had approached him long ago that I was interested in commissioning him. In April of last year after months had passed I was delighted to hear a reply back asking if I was still interested in that commission. Of course I said yes and he explained that it would take some time as he would be working on it between his own projects outside. I was more than happy to wait and understood that his other obligations were of great importance.
This commission was worked on over the course of a number of months. Each stage I was presented with and the few times I was able to catch him working on it in his stream made the wait well worth it. It was completed earlier this year and I must say it is one of the best commissions I have ever received and one that I am most proud of.
I think Brady did a spectacular job on this and all the details and references I provided for him were interpreted quite well and in some respects, surpassed my expectations. He was incredibly patient and helpful and made excellent suggestions. Also, he was extremely polite and professional in every manner. Also, he would notify me if a certain detail or approach he could offer or use would incur an additional cost and if it was something I would be interested in or to maintain a simpler approach for my original price cost. For this, I didn't turn down any enhancement that he mentioned or offered. I sincerely wanted to have a finished and polished piece and I knew that with Brady I wouldn't be disappointed. This is the product of that communication with him and something that was initiated and completed in about 10 months time, give or take a month. The end result shows the dedication to this project. My sincerest thanks go to you Brady.
Here we have a picture of a more youthful Asphyxia. I would say this was sometime after she had graduated from high school. Yes, Asphyxia did indeed graduate. She simply couldn't wait to leave school and hitch rides across the country after escaping the Catholic school environment. She felt incredibly stifled in high school and as much as she loved her family, just had to leave home and see the world and really express herself.
When she lived at home she was really into music of an alternative, punky nature. Bands she was quite fond of she had dreamed of seeing live and the NYC scene fascinated her. It was only natural that she would land in the Big Apple and hang out at CBGB's and other various nightclubs to revel in the music scene. She had shed her Catholic schoolgirl image and attired herself in a more comfortable, (at least to her) fashion. Here, pictured in this image is where she is truly in her element.
I hope you enjoy this picture as much I do. It truly is a well worked and fabulous piece in my eyes. If you enjoy this image, I implore you to stop by Brady's submission of it and tell him what you think about it. It would be great disservice to him and myself if you didn't. Thank you everyone!

I don't anymore. Nor does my character. It was something that I and my character had done in our youth. To be honest, I find cigarettes disgusting. The lingering scent, the yellowing fingernails, the difficulty in not fouling up a room with clothing, hair, breath and skin saturated in that filth. It's a habit I never really got addicted to so it was easy to shake.
However, I do occasionally partake in hookah, pipe tobacco or the rare cigar. Mind you, if I do that, it only happens 3 - 5 times in a year and not ever more than that.

I recently read the description you had for this picture, it brought me back to those times. I came back to your page because I wanted to take a look at this piece again, and now I see lately you've been keeping in featured submission slot! I'm so pleased to see you must have been thinking of those times too! :D
