to add to my gallery.
I've been meaning to commission marymouse for a themed piece to celebrate the Mexican tradition for Día de los Muertos, the day of the Dead for the past couple of years. This year, I was finally able to catch her at an opportune time to be able to have this beautiful traditional piece illustrated. My sincerest thanks go to Mary for making this picture so that I may present it here to share with you all. Enjoy!
Although today is Día de los Inocentes, in which the children who have passed away are remembered and celebrated and tomorrow is Día de los Muertos. I felt today would still be appropriate to display this image since both are special and are celebrated together.

This is so gorgeous. I may not be Hispanic in any means, but I've always loved this day and the way people celebrate it. I am a very spirital person, and I love my past... so it only seems right for me to celebrate the ones I have lost over the years for all the love they gave me <3
