Cut and pasted the description from my other galleries. I can’t believe I thought this was good art :P
This is the original Paint BBS drawing of my avian character Lucy. She has no real bacsktory but I do have plans to use her in a story / comic, at current she is Luu's younger sister to. Yes I did try to make a joke with their names (Lucy and Luu). At the time I was still learning how to use the board / draw with as mouse I think it looks fine, but some may not. I completed it in October 2005 using the Kemono Island Paint BBS. How I thought her up is quite unique I'll never forget it. I was walking my dog at 9:30 pm it was dark and partly cloudy and I just happened to look up at the clouds (yes you read correctly looking at clouds) and I saw the shape of her head in the clouds. When I got back I immediately sketched out her head, and that’s that. Goes to show you, that inspiration still comes form the simple things in nature.
After I had finished the drawing I got a lot of comments saying she looked like a female Woody Woodpecker, at the time I never even noticed, so in actuality she has no relation to him. I also got positive from the other board member, they complimented me on the style I used. Really helped me to improve my skill.
That’s all for now so Enjoy!
