Too long this tether holds me, bound by a spider's slender strength. It twists, tightens, binds and pulls, breaking my feathers, that mocking thread!
I am lost. I cannot find a home, cannot even wander as falcons are born to do. Others fly in far-off lands - they do not even know the breath of freedom that fills their lungs over and over. The Spider that binds me here, she tells me that I am free, that I should thank her for her web. But her web covers the land, masking the beauty beneath. I wish only to fly across the sea again, and see a land unmarred by those binding strands.
I pull again in vain, and plea in silence - let me leave this island!

Such a capturing and passionate piece of writing and visual art. It was breathtaking to look at them both.
I of course feel saddened for the falcon. As it reminds me of the illegal poaching and killing of birds of prey. As i hear about it sometimes from my RSPB monthly mag.
Hopefully, the outcome of this poem has a happy one.
Again, beautifully made.
