I drafted this image about a year-and-a-half ago. I can't recall why I lost interest in it - probably because my artistic focus was all over the place at that point.

I was having difficulty with linework at that time - so I didn't know if I wanted to keep trying to get to grips with lineworking techniques or just focus on lineless pieces instead.

I think I need to remind myself that I have more than one artworking approach and that those different approaches are all valid - after all, realism is not necessarily the best way to produce vibrant and energetic works.

I suppose this piece has a kind of 'stained-glass window' feel to it - but that wasn't my intention.

I generally like experimenting with 'vertical panoramas' but art sites don't really allow for them to be displayed properly.
