The mask is done! Might or might not have time to make a set of decorative little wings, not sure.

crystumes is one of her avian blanks that I further sculpted on. Go check her stuff out if you are into costumes!
Vesper here is based on a Pied Harrier.
I hadn't really done something like this before so it was a huge learning experience.

oooomg that is SO wonderful TwT do you happen to know any good sources to purchase feathers? like, i know sometimes people who raise hens and roosters will save and sell the extra feathers but i don't know any way to find those sort of people... i'm going to be working on my first gryph this year, based on the cenarion hippogryphs from warcraft, teal navy and gold-orange, and i need gold-orange feathers for the ears and some face trim... but the only places i can find to buy them is stupid hat sites where they are bloody expensive fancy shit :I any suggestions?
I think it really depends on your personal ethics! If you want feathers from animals that had good lives, then really your options are to find individual sellers such as on ebay or etsy that sell feathers from their birds. If you don't care too much then you have more options. You can start here: http://www.ebay.com/sch/Feathers-/41199/i.html find the type of feather you think might work best, and then you can google it and see if you can find better prices.
yeh, ideally i'd like them from individual sellers who took care of their birds, and also to support the individual, but that can be so expensive i'm not sure if it would keep to budget... but your idea for findin the right type of feather and then searching for that type---i don't know WHY i didnt think of it... that's how i shop for shoes online, but this whole time i've just been looking for like "feather stores" and not finding what i need XD aha. thank you for the logical solution :P
No problem! I find that eBay and Etsy individual sellers seem to be pretty great for selling their bird's feathers. I have also put "want" ads on a chicken forum in the past, because.. well, a lot of people that take good care of their birds just discard the feathers. Especially if you don't mind cleaning them yourself you might get good prices that way. Some people will even send them for the cost of shipping.
Not sure where they get them from but http://www.etsy.com/shop/FeatherAnd.....ef=seller_info has all kinds of feathers in any color you could imagine!
