This plot isn't original...were there any surprises? We're told upfront that it ends badly...does that ruin the suspense?

Janie Hollinshead There are a few nice twists to this plot. What irked me was the unending nastiness and betrayal aimed at the protagonist. Enough already!

You can cut off your horrible family members, but once you have kids with a man, you're kind of stuck with him for life, even if you're divorced. And that man was absolutely rancid inside and out. A complete gaslighter, always the victim. Every time he was on page, I was filled with rage.(less)
