Chasing light

Rate this book
Mike Prince's first novel "Chasing Light" takes the reader on a quest for enlightenment, passion, and love. After ten years of domination and apparent happiness in the minor leagues of golf, Sam Storm tumbles into a dark world of self-analysis following a friend's death. The thirty-year-old man struggles with his past, shuns his present, and lacks the vision to see his future. Sam is a lost soul. But Kelly O'Neil, a beautiful young woman from the golden fields of a dream, walks through the doors of despair with a message of light, life, and love. With her sincere words, warm smiles, and gentle caresses, Sam is freed from his shackles to begin the journey. Reluctantly leaving Kelly's embrace to find himself in solitude, Sam rescues a dormant talent that leads him toward the alluring light. As he moves closer to self-awareness, he realizes he can't capture his existence alone. But the path to his soul mate is full with obstacles, and Sam must proceed with courage and perception to find his way to the higher world. As he continues "Chasing Light", Sam knows there will be no middle ground; he will flourish in the rays of enlightenment or be burned into ashes by the consuming inferno of a mundane existence.

This was a very different book for me. I managed to get an autographed copy of the book so I was happy with that. But, the book was not well written, however the story was interesting. I believe that with experience the author will be able to get the writing up to the level of the story and it will be better.
