Interesting comic about the gunslinger McCree. In this case, the rustler stows away on a bullet train while, by chance, some soldiers raid the train in search of "something". McCree exudes a special sense of humour and duty.
The comic also features an episode of "Reinhardt: Dragon Slayer".

Rewritten review; old review incorporated into new

In the first issue of Overwatch Digital Comics, we follow McCree in his own mini adventure, called Train Hopper. McCree just wants a quiet day on his rides to Houston, hoping for a low profile and to skip town. But quite soon after the train starts moving, McCree realises his trip is going to be anything but low profile.

When I first saw this comic for free on the Amazon Kindle Store in March, I had to read it, due to an old friend being in love with the game. After one of my boyfriends turned out to be really big OVW trash – and after I managed to find the two missing comics on my Amazon cloud – I had to reread it.

I never expected to fall in love with McCree back in March when I first read this.
I definitely didn’t expect to fall in love with him all over again now, in November.

I still really love the art style in this. Bengal did absolutely wonders with the art work in this. Despite it only being 10 pages long, everything is so sleek and fits together well. I don’t know if that was because it was only 10 pages long, so Bengal had more time to focus on it, or if Bengal treated it like any long paged comic but the art style is just amazing. Bengal is probably one of my favourite comic illustrators, and has been since I read these, and coming back to this was just amazing.

I said back in March that this comic was short, but well worth the read, and it’s definitely made me want to play the fame and read more in the series. Again, this holds true. This makes me want to go download the game, and set up an account, and get on and play as McCree. I said this was a wonderful story, short, precise and to the point and again, I stand by this statement in full. This is still a short story, only ten pages, but it reads well, it is smooth and there’s no screwing around. However, this doesn’t feel rushed. I don’t know if this is because I knew what was coming, vaguely, or if it was because of how the story was set up, but it did not feel rushed. It was surprisingly well paced for a ten page comic, and I was shocked, even now, reading it a second time.

I still thoroughly enjoyed this, a lot. It made me laugh, it made me smile, and I think I left just enough time between readings to enjoy this fully. I forgot what happened in this, but reading through it again brought back the fond memories of sitting in my room, at 3am reading this for the first time, and I still really enjoyed it the second time. I don’t know if these are still free, but I recommend this comic series for any science fiction / Overwatch fan.

Overwatch #1 McCree by Robert Brooks is a graphic/digital novel short that seems just to give the reader an overview of who McCree is. A former Blackwatch operative who now is kind of a vigilante justice of his own. In this short tale, it shows how he does this. The images are amazing and the fonts are very easy to read. The story is easy to follow and short.

McCree (this comic came out before this character was renamed Cassidy) is on a train when it is attacked by a Blackwatch unit. He deals with the problem and ensures that the passengers of the train are safe. Overall, this was well done. However, it is heavy in action and light on story.

Good

McCree is cool and does some pretty chill stuff in this comic. I recommend reading it because it's cool. ;)

I got this very short 10-page freebie, because I liked the look of the cover.

It‘s too short for anything meaningful. McCree travels on a train, he looks like a cowboy and seems to be an outlaw of some kind. The setting is in the future. The train is attacked by some guys in full body armour, abseiling from helicopters at over 600 km/h. That‘s about it.

The artwork was ok.

I don‘t feel the urge to continue with this.

Apparently this is a video game? Don't care. I enjoyed this comic. Nice sci-fi western. Note that this Kindle freebie is under 15 pages.

McCree, or... erm... Cassidy!

Cool issue about the character relaxing on his way to nowhere, in a train, while some secret service guys ruin his day and trying to steal something from the train while killing everybody and McCree saves the day!

Really nice artwork, but overall it was just an ok story for what it was.

This comic was awesome. And so were the illustrations. I loved this comic, I can't wait to read the others. I also love Overwatch the game in general. I also like how they put the character (Mcree) in the comic. 4.5/5

Since all of the Overtwatch comics are about 10 pages long I'll only be doing mini reviews for them.

This was a nice look at what McCree has been up to, now that Overwatch has been disbanded. It's a bit cliche, but it suits his personality well. Overall it's nothing exceptional, but it's fun. If you're a fan of the game it's definitely worth the few minutes to read it.

Alright

The whole series, this issue included shows just a bit of backstory of all overwatch characters which makes it more in depth with the universe. The issue is short and so I wish it was slightly bigger with more detail.

These comics really are short. They are OK, nothing special, but bring some flavor to the game's universe.

Reading this because I'm super into Overwatch at the moment and these seem like fun ways to learn more about the world and the heroes. This issue does a good job of conveying McCree's outlaw nature.

A class could be taught on how fast a character can be developed and utilized; and in that class I would submit this comic as an example. It's about- oh, i'd say *scratches head* 6-10 pages of story? And in that time, on the first page alone we understand everything we will ever need to know about McCree as a character. He's the apotheosis of all western badass tropes rolled into one identity. Creating the ultimate "It's been a long day" badass.
It's fast an exciting. Kinda shocked it found its way to Goodreads honestly.

As little I know about Overwatch, my son enjoys it, and I got him a bunch of Kindle comics for Overwatch. They seem very short and leave me with more questions, so I guess that’s the pull. I’m still not any further interested in playing Overwatch (Not my gaming style), but I can see why my son enjoys the characters and getting back stories. (The back stories behind characters is why I liked this.)
