Solid fun. Every time we get to the number four, Rowan sees the bear with the headlamp and says, "Like Dad!" because I'll use a headlamp when cleaning dust off my records before playing them. Rowan likes to help clean the records. He also really likes counting. So this is a fun time.

So cute and fun! I love that the book includes a play, ballet class and tea party ;-) The humor is great (five is good for a ride in the car-- as long as you don't have to go very far!) and loved (and empathized with) the ending :-p

One, Two, Three by Sandra Boynton was such a great read. It is a counting book up to ten for young readers. It is a smaller board book with only twenty pages which would be ideal for small children. The illustrations are similar in this one to Barnyard Dance and her other books. Boynton definitely has a illustration style with her books. I love the fun illustrations of the animals it keeps the story lively. All of her books have fun and sill words and this one does no disappoint. On one page in particular, it has nine pigs dressed in jerseys and with nets and it says, "You need NINE players-strong and quick- to field a team for Pigglystick." It is a silly way to teach numbers and kids will love it. I would recommend this book as well for anyone reading to small children.

Jack borrowed this book from the Oxford Public Library. I picked it because he is a big fan the author's other books.
Since Jack has been on a counting kick lately (even though he can't quite do it yet), I started reading this book to him this morning. He loved it! He liked the animals and joined me in pointing at them and "counting" them. He even asked me to read the book again, which is something he has not been doing with new books lately. A definite win.

This has been a favorite book since our kids were small to now with our grandkids. I highly recommend this and it is one I buy for baby shower gifts all the time! I have probably ‘read’ this book several hundred times! My grandson’s current favorite page is- Ten makes a celebration..LOUD, LOUD, LOUD!

This is a fun book for younger kids. It helps teach the concept of basic counting in a fun and creative way. The words flow together very well and the pictures are relevant and keep the reader interested.

This book is absolutely adorable and might be my favorite Boynton that I've read in a long time. The rhymes are perfect, as always, and the ending is perfect, too! I did not know this was a reprint; I thought it was brand new. Well, it is a classic.

Delightful, simple rhyming text teaching toddlers to learn to count through simple rhyming counting which integrates Boynton’s winning combination of kid-friendly humorous animal characters with single sentence rhymes.

Cute, fun counting book. A solid Boynton installment that acknowledges the joys of group activities, and the relief of solitude. Always makes me think of Three Dog Night's "One" when I begin the book.

Mostly fine, but also a little uninspired. "Three is nice for having tea or for counting One, Two Three."? "Six is fun for a running race. (Except for the one who gets Sixth Place.)"? There are so many other good counting books out there. You can safely skip this one.
