Jason thought his life was pretty secure until he broke the rules and voted the wrong way. His accumulated points disappeared. He was now expendable and needed to run for his life.

Escape From Zero is a story about a flight from evil control. But Cassandra Finnerty weaves fantasy,
technology and very human heroes into a fast paced adventure, which upends everyone's presumptions of how people will behave when in danger.

Escape From Zero explores themes of self examination, trust, friendship and ultimately love amid technological warfare, setting the scenes with vivid descriptions of the dangers and beauty that lie ahead. A peek at our future?

A great read!

A clever science fiction and fantasy novel.

The author applies her philosophy to an exciting adventure, with our heroes not only battling but employing futuristic technology to add fun twists and turns to the story. And if that’s not enough, every character, each flawed to different degrees, carries his or her own secrets along the journey.

I liked the depiction of Canard with its futuristic technology and politics. I also liked the running for survival in a post-apocalyptic environment and everyone's secrets.
Unfortunately, I felt that in the last 25 pages or so was a bit too rushed, almost like they were clearing levels in a video game.
