I think I found my niche when it comes to fantasy... Urban fantasy especially in a magic school type setting, really does it for me! oh my gosh did Fallen Gods have me consumed. I have been in such a reading rut lately, nothing was holding my interest... and then this book arrived on my door step, and it was everything and more!
This is a retelling within the world of the gods, primarily focusing on the Bifrost, Giants and Mjöllnir which was once Thors hammer. Thor is gone, the gods have lost their powers and memories, besides a few select few. Wanting to regain control, Odin (who is father of Thor and head of the mafia) uses his daughter to infiltrate the giants and find the hammer... to be able to restore his powers, which he is slowly losing.
Odin is not the type of man to be trusted. But there are stakes and peoples safety being held over Reys head. Rey must join the college that Aric's family runs... and get close to him, because he is the key to Mjollinr. These two have a past, and a connection that they cannot fight. They call to each other... what starts as rival families and enemies to lovers.... Turns into two unlikely allies trying to save the world....
I Loved that Aric falls first, but Rey falls harder. The way that these two are bonded, and as they get closer the world around them and what they once knew starts to unravel.

Although Caleb was her first love, Rowan Caleb's brother is the older brother Saylor has always been crushing on... But told herself years ago it was unrequited and they would never happen.
Now Caleb and Saylor about to leave for college, Caleb not wanting a girlfriend to hold him back while he "discovers himself" in college, abruptly ends things with Saylor. Years together gone and shattered, and he has no problem flaunting new hook ups around her.
Saylor's mom has a close connection to Caleb and Rowans family, she works for their father. There are definitely secrets we find out through this story, pasts that have been hidden, but also strong connections that grow and form. Rowans feelings for Saylor are no longer being hidden, the push and pull dynamic, of they shouldn't but yet they are constantly drawn together. I loved the way Rowan was always protective of Saylor, even when she isn't supposed to be his.
Rowan and Saylor are both outcasts in their family, Saylor struggling to love up to her mothers expectations, and even having any bond with her mom. Rowan, wanting to be his own person and not need his father to be successful. this may be one of Gingers more steamy books... but i loved the fact these two couldn't fight their connection... Rowan and Saylor are definitely a new favorite relationship....more

I do love how you could see Cullan's feelings right away for Elena. A protectiveness he can't quite understand himself.
I will say Cullan is his own individual self, he explores his darker side, and I liked how Elena loved him for him. Like all of Lillith's books, the spice was spicing, the hero was possessive, even when he tried to fight it... I liked that Elena and Cullan became home for each other.
I did feel a little disjointed on some of the subplots, but overall, with a book jam packed with twists it was entertaining. ...more

This is the debut book for this author, and as far as debuts go, its a really solid story. I prefer student teacher when the story and progression feels organic, and that's how this story was done.
They meet one night before school starts and are strangers to each other, they share an instant connection, the tension between them was *chefs kiss*. something pulls them away from each other before they can plan to meet each other. Days later, she sees him again but he is now her high school teacher, and off limits. The author does a great job of showing them trying to fight the connection, and the MMC doing the honorable thing. But like all good love stories, they do eventually give in.
this story was one i enjoyed, and even has me excited for future side characters to get books! definitely will be back for more from this author....more

This may actually be my favorite ♥️Fake Dating ♥️Coaches Daughter ♥️Football MMC ♥️Single dad / foster parent ♥️Instant Connection ♥️She works for the team
This may actually be my favorite book in the single dad playbook series. I have loved Penn since the beginning and his story did not disappoint.
Although is single dad dynamic started as a mentorship for a young boy named Sam, their bond grew… and he knew he wanted to keep him safe. Especially when he sees what Sam’s current foster parents put him through. I really liked that Willow aster portrayed the issues when it comes to the childcare system… the hurdles that Penn had to go through. I liked that Addy was so kind and caring, she instantly fell for Sam as well and jumped in headfirst to keep him safe and with Penn.
Adeline and Penn meet before Penn even knows who she is. To him she’s the one who got away. He meets her on vacation for his friend's wedding, the connection is instant. The chemistry is strong. Yet when they try and find time to be together, it never worked out. Months later they can’t get each other out of their heads… we find out she actually is the new nutritionist for Penns team, and the coaches daughter. Penn is definitely not her dad's number one fan. Preconceived notions of who he is get in the way of that.
This story had me… the way Penn fights the feelings at first yet can’t stay away. How Addey and he come together is so natural… them both stepping up and taking in not just Sam, but another foster sibling of his. This found family dynamic was so cute and had me in my feels....more

Dylan and Ryland were seriously so freaking addicting, their enemy to lovers' vibes, with the banter they shared had me flipping the pages… I kept getting sucked into their fake engagement and the way they just fall into place with one another.
In this story Dylan is down on her luck, and ends up making a huge change by looking after her brothers New York penthouse, the same building that her old childhood crush lives in. Rhyland and Dylan’s first meeting after years does not go well, they clearly want nothing to do with each other and yet somehow, they find themselves needing to fake a relationship together. Rhyland is a retired male escort and needs Dylan to essentially better his reputation when it comes to a business proposal... Their chemistry is undeniable to everyone but themselves.
I loved that Dylan doesn’t make it easy on Rhyland, she and him start building an almost friendship, but with clear tension, and in time a bond. Where Dylan and Gravity (Dylan’s daughter) becomes Rhyland's two favorite people. I loved seeing these 3 create a family and be each other's people. This story definitely gave me the feels and then some. I smiled, I laughed, I was angry at points for Dylan and Rhyland… both didn’t always have it easy… but in the end they have each other!
(Plus, gravity and the dogs, Obviously) hahaha...more

Jaymin eve has shown time and time again why she is one of my favorite authors. This story felt like it was made for me. it has all my favorite tropes, magic school moments which im always looking for in my romantasy. Forbidden romance vibes. Ugh I ate this whole book up. I loved how Jaymin blends the family and friendship dynamic so seamlessly with the romantic one. The world building and mystery kept me turning the pages... she has a way with words that makes you picture every moment so vividly.
This is a slow burn and the edging and tension will have you begging for them to give in.... and that freaking cliff hanger!!! AHHHHHHH! I need book 2 like yesterday.
Monty Jay had me from the beginning, and their story didn't let me go. If you could look into my brain and take my favorite plot and relationship dynaMonty Jay had me from the beginning, and their story didn't let me go. If you could look into my brain and take my favorite plot and relationship dynamics and put them into a book, it would give you this. Main characters who race each other- Check! Characters with trauma- Double check! Touch her/ me and d!e - check freaking check. Monty had me at foster siblings but the story itself and the way it is told, exceeded my expectations.
Phi and Jude, are both broken characters. Each has their own trauma and burdens to bare. What starts as a enemies to lovers, slowly becomes a lust filled obsession, of star crossed lovers. Two people who shouldn't be, but yet they are the missing piece the other needed to fill the loneliness that consumed them both. Relationships like this are the reason I love romance books, characters that will do whatever it takes for the other, as well as do whatever it takes to be together... Jude and Phi are definitely that.
I literally have very few words to explain this story and what it made me feel. My words will not do it justice. Just know this is a beautifully told dark romance... where each character will have you falling deeper and deeper with their emotions. You will feel it all.
p.s There are so many side characters I equally fell in love with, and I'm dying for their books!...more

I'll start by saying age gap is a favorite trope of mine, mix in best friend's dad and it's an immediate "YES" for me! And of course, Jennifer did not disappoint. This is one of those age gap stories that's told in such a way, where it's a very organic relationship progression. Although it is technically forbidden, it doesn't seem that way at all. The connection between Hallie and Reed is one for the history books... It's the type of connection that reminds me why I love the romance genre so much. Their love is all consuming, with so much depth.
I love when an author can take a forbidden trope and make it seem normal, and not forbidden. Thats what Jennifer manages to do. These two meets not knowing who the other is, Hallie trying to get a break from the toxicity that is her family life... being kicked out and nowhere to go, she runs into Reed, our hero (who I am whole heartedly in love with). He is also in search of someone but finds Hallie instead... one night an instant connection that they will continue to fight throughout the story, until they no longer can.
Reed and Hallie, they are one of those couples that just sticks with you, and you will want to compare to every other couple. Reed wants nothing more than to reconnect with his daughter, while Hallie just wants normalcy, and to not be held back by her past traumas. After much convincing Hallie convinces Reed to train her to fight, at his gym, and overtime with moments spent at the gym, and moments of forced proximity their connection gets even stronger. I loved that Reed was so sweet and Kind to Hallie, yes at times he is flawed, but his heart is always in the right place.
This story also takes place in the 90's which I found so nostalgic, the music references and throw backs to a moment in time that was part of my childhood, made this story that much more enjoyable for me, and made me connect to it on a more personal level. This forbidden, and emotional story is everything and more than what I thought it would be, and now it's being added to my favorite shelf! if you are a lover of age gap this is the book for you, if you are hesitant with age gaps this is also the book for you, because Jennifer handles the topic with so much care, you can't help but love it....more

When their parents marry Landon finally has Parker right where he wants her. I know a lot of people try and compare books to untouchable anytime there is some kind of non-con/ dub con type character.... but I will say that Landon is the closest that we have come to with similarity wise. Parker is also not a super naive or a doormat. She runs from Landon even though there are feelings there from both sides. Landon messed up years ago when Parker put herself out there, knowing he will never get another chance unless he takes matters into his own hands.
These are the type of characters I really enjoy reading about, complicated and messy.... only has eyes for FMC... once Landon gets his way there were some amazingly swoony moments, and he was just obsessed with Parker and so sweet to her.
My only issue with this book, is I felt there was too much Dare and Hannah plot... like okay we get it. Let the characters have their moment.... because other than the moments that took away from Parker and Landon, this story was a total 5 star for me. ...more

I finally finished a full-length book after weeks of nothing holding my interest… and it’s all the freaking stars! This book seriously had me in a chokehold. The angst, the passion, the forbidden elements. Gosh these two give me those deep in your bones "feels", the kind that you feel on a visceral level.
This is a forced proximity trope, with cheating but not between the hero and heroine. While cheating in romance (done well) I really enjoy, I know it's not for everyone... so if you decide to read this book, please go in with an open mind. I found myself rooting for Hawke and Cole the whole way... the connection is undeniable, and Hawke is the only one that's able to set Cole free and find herself.
I loved that as the story unfolded, what I felt for other characters started to change as well. I really enjoy story that can do that, Stories that change your mind and the characters you felt bad for you no longer do... and the ones you may have not you now do. Jescie definitely writes in depth, thoroughly thought-out stories, with uniquely broken characters, the kind that don't always get stories told about them, but their stories deserve to be told.
Hawke is going down as one of my top reads of the year, YOU NEED TO EXPERIENCE THIS FOR YOURSELF!!!! Cole and Hawkes story will wreck you in the best ways possible, I 10 out of 10 recommend! ...more

This Book has become my new personality. This is the type of book you both want to savor and binge at the same time. Just call me the London and Knight spokesperson... because I'm about to talk about nothing else besides these two for the rest of the year. These books wholeheartedly consumed me, and I'm not meaning that lightly either. Once I finished, I was left with that "what am I supposed to do now" feeling, because nothing seems to even come close to this book or these characters. It's been a while since I felt a story this viscerally...it felt so personal to me, and honestly If I could make one book "My Mate" it would be this one.
This is the conclusion to London and Knights story. It takes place immediately after the conclusion of book one, when Amo and Meagan Left us in literal shock. I had so many questions along the way in this story, and the authors answered pretty much all of them. There is an overarching mystery to their story, that's built on years of history within this world... Its all-consuming being in Knight and London's heads and getting little pieces to answer along the way. This is one of those books you really need to trust the process with, there were so many WTF moments where my jaw was on the floor, but that's part of the magic!
This world that Amo and Meagan created is pure Magic, and i am so excited to see where they take us within it. I already love so many side characters and am creating theories for what's to come... plus any chance at seeing my Strongly Fierce London is a "YES!!!" for me, London is my Soul sister and I'm obsessed haha. I will be shouting this duet from the rooftops! You All need to run, not walk and read it now!...more
