The plot was PLOTTING GWORL.
The characters really start to hit their stride in this book, I loved seeing Elyria still being herself, but growing too. She’s got so much heart! & she’s so strong, truly just a bad ass.
Cedric grows so much in this book, truly accepting who he is, what his purpose is, and DAMN HE IS HOT! From the way he treats Elyria, to the way he truly is so strong himself without stepping on others to be so… It’s so refreshing to see as an MMC.
That being said, I so look forward to him being in his revenge era in the final book due to the events of book 2, lol. I am so anxious for the third book, but also not ready for this series to end.
i am feeling pretty confused on how to rate this. bc dianna was my least favorite part of this book and that HURTS.
from all the lying, to being mean i am feeling pretty confused on how to rate this. bc dianna was my least favorite part of this book and that HURTS.
from all the lying, to being mean to samkiel, to always doing things her way and then always being forgiven… blah. lowkey her character almost made me want to dnf at points. she’s the perpetual victim.
also, the excessive spice in the first half of this book was maddening to say the least.
however, everything else really popped off! the plot, the other character arcs outside of samkiel and dianna, and i loved that! vincent and camilla’s story had me so intrigued, and isaiah?! omg, need moooore. also reggie is probably my fav rn, lol. love him.
anywho, i think i’m going to leave my rating at a 3.5. i will be continuing to book 4 because i love everyone but dianna rn. can’t wait to see what comes bc i cannot predict where this plot is going! ...more

Ella Fields has a fantastic way of making characters seem so irredeemable, just to redeem them.
This story is so unique for a fantasy, making it feel so refreshing, while still keeping all those romantasy elements we all know and love. The FMC is fiery, a little mean, but so beyond lovable- i loved her so much.
And the MMC… omg SWOON. I love him and his sweet heart, the things he says in this are fantastic. Also the spice in this was fantastic.
I am obsessed!! The pacing, plot and characters were everything. 5 MF stars! ⭐️...more

the fmc is so me, dealing with ocd and the comfort of her own mental cage. however, she’s also a huge bad ass and i loved her.
the mmc is SO BROODY AND MEAN AND I LOVE HIM!!!! he’s sarcastic, and also can’t help but tell the truth. he also calls her “thorn of mine”, that’s now my fav pet name in a book ever.
the world was awesome, the plot was so good and i’m obsessed. so. TAKE ALL MY STARS!!!! 5 million!! ✨...more

The groveling in this book was *chef’s kiss*, and I love a good polyamorous moment. This was a GOOOOOOOD one.
Everyone grew so much in this story, the action was so good and the twist at the end was a really good one. The ending leaves me SO excited for book 3, I am so amped to get to understand Medusa more.
I am a little nervous bc I don’t know how to feel about Patro and Achilles yet. So we shall see in book 3, if I change my mind on them.
Honestly, I really had a good time with this, 4.25 stars for the audio, the enjoyment was real. ...more
