The relationship deepens, the tension is dialed up and the emotional beats feel more intentional this time around. The banter is still sharp, but there’s more vulnerability beneath it, which makes the connection feel richer.
And oooooweeeee! This volume was steamy. The chemistry is undeniable. It definitely simmers on the page in a way that feels intimate without losing its charm and humour.
The art style remains one of my favourite parts. It's stylish, expressive and beautiful. The visuals do so much of the storytelling on their own.
But THE ENDING?? What a cliffhanger. I cannot wait to jump into volume 3!! ...more

What sets this manga series apart is its refusal to give comfort. There is no time to catch your breath. The pacing is sharp and relentless, but somehow still makes space for quieter moments. The psychological unraveling of Arisu and those around him is handled with a surprising amount of empathy and realism, especially in a genre that often leans into spectacle over substance.
The artwork is clean and chaotic in all the right ways. Action panels are cinematic and overwhelming, then suddenly you’re stuck in a single expression that says more than dialogue ever could.
This series isn’t just a survival game story, it’s an exploration of what it means to live at all. And while its themes are harsh, its execution is anything but careless....more
