She works on the night shift with Lennie her friend and is getting over the death of her husband Grant to Cancer.
Whilst working she spots Hannah, the baby she gave away for adoption. She knows it’s illegal and immoral but she can’t help but keep watching her!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it has secrets, lies and murder that kept me guessing until till the end. Makes you realise whilst you are out doing everyday tasks that big brother is always watching you!!
A must read. My favourite books are the one’s where you think you know where the story is going and then the Author takes you on a different road, this book definitely ticks that box.
I haven’t read a Julie Corbin book before but will definitely be looking for her other books.

Tess is not a fitness fanatic and definitely not a fan of Lycra. She is swayed by going to Barcelona for the culture rather than the marathon.
Tess meets the very handsome and enigmatic Roberto who offers to show her the sights. Is Roberto all he makes out to be and could this be love for both of them?
I’m not a fan of love stories as they can be predictable, but this was so beautifully written so atmospheric, that I felt like I was experiencing the sights, smells, delicious food and wine that Tess did. Definitely on my to visit list.

Everything about this book from the cover to the description screamed at me to be read and I could not wait to start it.
Set in Surrey, England and AmEverything about this book from the cover to the description screamed at me to be read and I could not wait to start it.
Set in Surrey, England and America. Two women undergo IVF,where their embryos are mixed up, causing them to give birth to babies that are not genetically connected to them.
In Surrey, Tess and Matteo have 3 sons, their youngest Freddie does not look like their other sons and is a bit of a handful. She has never bonded with him and was desperately hoping for a daughter. When Tess has a car accident they discover from blood tests that Freddie is not their son.
In America, Annie and Carl had IVF to have their daughter Willow. When they receive the news that Willow is not their natural child Annie does not want any contact with the other family involved in the swap and will not consider that Willow is not theirs.
Loved how this very delicate and heartbreaking subject was beautifully written. The contrast between the 2 families couldn’t have been any more different, their lifestyles and how they react to the news of the swap.
Having been through IVF, although sadly for us not successfully, I can only imagine going through that emotional process to later find out you have the wrong child. After bonding with them for 3 years could you imagine giving them up so you can have you’re real child who is a stranger to you?
A thought provoking story that gripped me from the start. A must read book that will stay in you’re thoughts long after reading it.

Have to say the books just get better and better as the series progresses. I was captivated from the start and feel like the main characters Miles and Grey are as familiar to me as my friends or family!!
Gabriel is wrongfully arrested and sent to prison. You really feel the overwhelming powerlessness of having youse freedom taken away from you and the sheer terror of being in prison.
A must read book. Looking forward to starting the next one in this series “ The Promise” ...more

We start this amazing story with Olivia wHaving really enjoyed Laura Marshall’s other book, Friend Request I was really looking forward to this book!!
We start this amazing story with Olivia who is attending her son Daniel’s trial - for rape!! Olivia finds it hard to believe that her gentle musically talented son could be accused of such a heinous act.
The story then goes back 10 years. A new family is moving in and Ellen is drawn to teenager Sasha and her glamorous family, who she prefers to spend time with ,rather than her own family. Something bad happens at a party which is linked to Sasha’s disappearance and may put Ellie’s life at risk!!
I was so engrossed in this amazing thriller, full of twists and red herrings strewn along the way.
Definitely a must read. 10 out of 10.

Caroline Lambert goes to the police station and confesses to killing her Father who has been diagnosed with terminal liver cancer. Is this a mercy killing?
The story alternate’s between the police investigation and Caroline. My favourite chapters were of Caroline and her story of visiting her terminally ill father in hospital and caring for him at home. We know what she has done but we don’t find out why until later on in the book.
The 2 sides of the story keeps you engrossed with you wanting to find out more as this is a very intriguing story.
Will definitely go and find the first book in this series and any others to follow.

We first meet Ellie in prison, we do not know why she is there.
Ellie has been married to Roger for 28 years and they have recently gone through marriage counselling as he has had numerous affairs. They have 2 grown up children Amy and Luke and She lives for the days when she looks after her grandson Josh. One day whilst looking after Josh she takes her eyes of him for a moment which causes disastrous consequences for all the family.
Jo is a homeless woman who has had a hard life and is selling The Big Issue to get by.
The story is told through the eyes of Jo and Ellie, there is a connection between the 2 of them but you will have to read this book to find out what!!
This is an emotional story that will capture you’re heart, it touches on mental health, loss, despair and makes you think about the difficulties travellers and homeless people have. I was touched by the kindness of people out there who gave when they didn’t have much themselves whilst other walked on by!!
A must read book that I couldn’t put down. Definitely not one to miss out on.

When Stella is arrested on suspicion of killing Chris Olsen,it comes as a shock to Adam a pastor, who is respected by the community and his hard working Lawyer wife Ulrika. Quote “It takes a long time to build a life, but only an instant for it to crumble.”
This story is told from the points of view both the parents and Stella. As each one recollects what happened before and after the killing, we really get to know them and discover what they have done to protect their family.
This is a gripping read. I was totally engrossed from start to finish. What would you do to protect you’re daughter? If you’re morale is tested would you pass the test or would you go against all you believe in for family?
A must read book that that will keep you guessing with all the twists. loved the fact that my opinion of Stella changed when it came to her turn to tell her side of the story.
This is an author to look out for!!

Lucy knows nothing about Beth’s earlier life as it has always been just the 2 of them.
At Winter Cottage she discovers videos that her mother Beth made of Mrs Catherine, who tells her all about her family. Why did she leave Beth the cottage rather than her own family?
Told over 3 timelines, the story flows beautifully and is very easy to follow. It is a very intriguing book full of family secrets that will keep you enthralled until the end. Characters are strong and you can emphasis with their decisions, sympathise with their heartache and want them to have a happy ending.
A must read book that will capture the heart and make you think how you’re ancestors decisions can impact you’re own lives years later.

What a beginning “If you’re reading this then I am no longer alive” You had me totally enthralled from this point to the end. I devoured every word afraid to look away incase I missed a single thing!!
Anna is driving back from a company team building event, when she is involved in a car crash which kills 2 colleagues and cripples another.
She moves to Scotland and takes a job at the Bay View Hotel on the Island Of Rum. She is hoping moving away will cure her insomnia, but someone thinks justice has escaped Anna and they want revenge!!
When a new group of guests check in to the hotel strange things happen that makes Anna think that her stalker has followed her to Scotland and they want to harm her!!
I love how you are are drawn straight into this book. The characters staying in the hotel come to life with their vivid descriptions. I actually felt like I was staying there, her writing style is amazing in the way that at times when the story was creepy I was afraid for the characters and found myself shouting “watch out” as if I was actually there!!
Reading this was bittersweet as I was loving the book and really didn’t want to finish it, but I was also desperate to find out the ending.
10 out of 10 for this compelling book with lots of twists and surprises along the way. The tension builds up and I found myself changing my opinion on who the culprit was after every chapter. All the guests seemed to have their own secrets that they are desperate to keep hidden.
Desperately seeking C.L Taylor’s next book.

The Lockwood family move to The Avenue on the coast of Essex. Garrick is an Architect and has bought the house for a real bargain, he plans to extend it and then sell at a later date to make a profit.
There is a serial killer amongst the residents of The Avenue and there have been 5 victims so far. All of the neighbours seem to have their own secrets and are all acting suspiciously.
My favourite line “Nobody comes to The Avenue without death seeping through the gaps in their walls”
Loved how the tension slowly builds, you have an insight into the neighbours lives where everyone seems guilty and everyone is watching each other.
Amazing twist and the ending which I did not see coming. Made me take a good look around after reading this book, definitely shutting the curtains tonight just incase someone is watching!!
A must read book that is creepy but 100% addictive. Do you ever know what goes on in you’re neighbours lives? Now that’s a thought!!

Tess goes to the Doctors for sleeping pills and comes away with antidepressants and advice for her to see a Grief Councillor.
Along comes Shelley Lange sent by Tess’s mother, she is a Grief Counsellor Quote ‘Should have seen her coming. Like a siren bright and blue, flashing in the night”
Shelley seems to come along at the right time, a saviour amongst all the grief and despair that Tess is feeling since losing her husband. The 2 women become friends and Tess starts to depend on her.
When Tess starts to get calls where no one speaks, she starts to feel like someone is out to get her and her son Jamie.
Very gripping that sweeps you along and before you know it you have finished the book. It is a sad story of love and loss mixed in with twists that will keep you gripped and guessing until the last page.
Narrated mostly by Jess with snippets by Ian (Marks brother) and Shelley the Grief Counsellor. Loved the countdown to Jamie’s birthday and the tension building as the eventful day approached!!
The Perfect Betrayal is a must read psychological thriller. I finished this book and sat for a while digesting the ending, not what I had predicted!!

I am so pleased I read this book it’s a wonderful story full of emotion with a heart tugging love story, mixed with the hardship of war and its many casualties. This is so much more than a book about Hitler and does not glorify his atrocities!!
I was so gripped by this from the very beginning you had me in the palm of you’re hand until the very last page. I practically read this in one sitting and went to sleep thinking about the characters until I awoke early to finish this amazing story.
When Magda 25 is sent to stay with her aunt and uncle for safety they encourage her to find employment. Magda finds herself along with 15 other women as a food taster for Hitler. She is taught how to taste and smell poisons incase someone tries to contaminate Hitler’s food. Every meal could be her last.
Magda meets Captain Karl Webber and they are instantly attracted to each other, he tries to distant himself from her as he has a plan to kill Hitler which will put their lives and their families lives in peril. Their romance is bitter sweet amongst the devastation of war. Can love in this instance conquer all?
Loved the insight into Hitler’s inner circle at the mountainside retreat and of his relationship with Eva.
A must read book that brings history to life in a mesmerising and addictive way.
You’re ending bought tears to my eyes and will forever remain in my heart!!

Suzy grew up with an abusive father who used to hit her mother, they ran away from him and now she thinks he is behind all the strange things that are going on. Has he returned as he knows her mother has died?
