I've just recently discovered these two Authors and from what I've read they can do no wrong.I absolutely love their style of writing, they completely draw you in with their stories and characters even when the books are on the short side.
Gary works in a struggling costume factory and spends his time making his own designs at home.Ashley is the owner's son and for one brief summer the two men had a passionate fling only for Gary to be left devastated when Ashley left for college at the end of the summer.
A year later Ashley turns up at the factory, having been put in charge by his father. He has some grand ideas to save the factory from going under and wants to enter it in a competition in London. This was British humour at its best, especially involving Clive who is quite horrified at the whole idea.
"Blokes? They're dresses and silly skirts for blokes?"
Gary tries so hard not to feel the pull to Ashley again....too no avail and they're soon getting down and dirty. The sex was just delicious and filthy but the two men were also so damn cute together.
This was the perfect read for me.Sexy, sweet,so funny at times and with some great secondary characters.

So many positives here.
-set in the late 19th century in England...the Victorian era. After the Tudors this is the period in British history that completely fascinates me ( honestly ask me anything,I'm that obsessed with those two periods )
-delicious twists and turns that I didn't see coming and had to go back and read again...because,really?
-filthy sex with a bit of kink and a whole lot of dirty talk historical style...nothing better.
“If you want to be used, Lord Alexander, you have no idea how I should enjoy using you. And I don’t spoil my tools.”
He ran his fingers up Alec’s neck, stroking the skin against the grain of stubble. “Such a pretty thing. Are you hard?”
I want you aching for what will happen when I next put my hands on you. I want you so trained to my touch that your breathing hitches when I walk into the room. I want to wind up your anticipation until you’re quivering for my orders, begging for them.”“You want a plaything,” Alec whispered.
-Alec and Crozier are pretty damn perfect together.
-great supporting characters, especially Susan Lazarus the badass detective.

Warning...voyeurism,a bit of kink,HOT,great chemistry,beautiful boys,emotional...
This is one of my favourite books by this Author.Right,so this is definitely one of her sexist books in terms of descriptive sex but it almost didn't matter here to a certain extent because Garrett Leigh is one of the best MM Authors who totally nails the chemistry between her characters...and that's pretty special, getting that connection might seem effortless when you're reading her books but that's the beauty of her writing.
This was such an easy book to read,if you get me.I read it in about 24 hours and at no point did I even check my reading progress...I was so caught up in these two men.
Dylan and Angelo hook up in a sex club...yes,I was a bit concerned because BDSM isn't my thing at all but there's no hardcore stuff here....in fact( for once ) I found myself enjoying scenes in a sex club...because...voyeurism,and it was super sexy.Turns out these boys like being watched and that's definitely my kink in books.
A one time thing,so they thought, turns into so much more when their paths cross in their every day lives.
It's not all sunshine and roses here. Both men aren't really in a good place when they meet but it almost seems like fate when they do....they complemented each other so well and I absolutely adored both of them for different reasons.
Highly Recommended.

I was really looking forward to getting Jude's story after he was introduced in Rule Breaker and he was just as delicious as I thought he'd be.
Jude Bailey,29,model.Quick witted, beautiful but there's a lot more to Jude than people first think when meeting him. He's given up on letting any man get too close to him. When he puts his family commitments first men tend to walk again so he's happy with no strings sex
Asa Jacobs,44,actor,father with a strong sense of family. He's been burned in love before so how will he cope when meeting the gorgeous Jude who pushes his buttons right from the start
Billy Jacobs,5....yes I couldn't not mention him. He's just got to be one of the most endearing child characters I've read about.I absolutely loved him!
Jude finds himself temporarily homeless,so when a fellow model suggests his half brother(Asa) is in need of a PA it might be the perfect solution.A bit of PA work in exchange for a few months accommodation....how difficult could it be?
Lily Morton has, once again got the British humour and banter totally on point here.
-it's quite a slow burn which totally worked, although the sexual attraction/chemistry between the two men is evident pretty much from the start....on that note...
-super,super,sexy,
-one of my absolute highlights is the relationship Jude and Billy have-it was just perfect,
-good supporting characters, especially Dylan and Gabe,I just loved their part here and,as usual,Dylan was full of sass.
A recommended read.

Tom has a list...... Number one on the list is to tell his grown up daughter that he's marrying Lawrence... He's desperately trying to avoid that conversation...
This book wrecked me in the most wonderful way. It's beautiful,poetic... I read the last two chapters through a haze of tears.I found it so emotional and moving.
-Tom likes to draw.He draws foxes and birds and Lou follows in his footsteps,
(...)And she watched me drawing, copied. That is how art saved my life and gave me the best relationship with my daughter,Lou-Lou Belle,my Mona Lisa.
And then she got into drawing weddings so we'd had Fox weddings all over the kitchen for years and years...
-The setting.Bradford,a Northern City in England.A place I've visited many times.I absolutely love it when a book is set somewhere I've been to.And one place in particular held such a special memory for Tom.
-The relationship between Tom and Lou was one of the most beautiful I've read between a father and a daughter. The brief glimpses into the past when she was growing up had me every time....simple things they did but written with so much feeling.
-Lawrence,so gentle,so caring,so patient and so right for Tom.
-Don't,get me started on the ending.....just perfect.
This book is a little gem which I just adored.
Highly Recommended.

I've seen this one around a lot lately,I bought it a while ago but didn't immediately start it and I really don't know why because it's brilliant.I don't think I've read anything in a while that completely captivated me and once I started it I couldn't put it down. It's definitely one of those where you think, one more chapter and you're still reading it hours later.
For me,this was such a refreshing change to the MM books I normally read. Some of the characters are so flawed,so damaged but that just made it all the more compelling.
Jamie is a Detective Sergeant in the London Police Department. One of the good guys,he cuts quite a lonely figure. He knows he's gay but has never been with a man......that's about to change,in dramatic fashion, when he meets Ben.
Ben is stunningly beautiful and flirtatious.Men are drawn to him like a moth to light and once he's entrapped them they are powerless to resist and Jamie is no exception. When the current murder investigation Jamie is working on leads him to the apartments Ben lives in,Jamie is almost instantly captivated by Ben.Ben is looking for a flatmate,Jamie is looking for a new apartment so they find themselves living together.
Ben is highly promiscuous and is very open about it but the more Jamie is around Ben his common sense is non existent,he simply can't resist him.So when they become an item Jamie, stupidly, expects monogamy even though he knows exactly what Ben is like.
This was painful and heart breaking to read at times and while I was really enjoying it,at one point I did consider not going on with it..........Now the contentious issue....cheating
Was it cheating? Ben was totally upfront about his sexuality and never made any promises about being exclusive, but it still hurt to read.
Running along side the two men's relationship was an extremely good murder/mystery plot and just when I thought I'd worked it out,I found out I was wrong. The writing and story telling was truly captivating.Right up until the end I had no idea which way their relationship would turn out or the murder investigation.
This book is just brilliant, definitely one of my favourite reads so far this year.

When I read a friend's review of this and saw the blurb I just knew it was my kind of book.I adore femme men,I love the heels, the make up,the long hair, the clothes. And add into the mix a man who is the opposite and I'm in book heaven.
I make no apologies for the fact I like my men to be dirty, really dirty.I'm talking about men being manhandled and pushed around in the most deliciously filthy ways-and this book is nothing like that.
These two men don't fuck These two men make love And it is quite beautiful.
Stan is 22 and has just moved to London to start a job working for a fashion magazine. He's stunningly beautiful and has loads of offers to become a model but that's definitely not an option for him due to his past.He had the opportunity to go through transition but couldn't as he doesn't identify with being transgender.I didn't really understand fully what being gender-fluid was and thought the Author explained it well, especially in the conversations Stan had with Ben and Tone.
Stan meets Ben one night in the bar Ben works in.When Ben first sees Stan he is blown away by his beauty, initially thinking he's a girl. However, when he realizes Stan is a man he's not fazed in any way.
For the most part, men didn't like being come on to by a man who looked more like a girl.A hot girl.A really hot, slightly confusing girl.Stan knew what he looked like-he owned it.
This book was not what I expected at all. It's romantic and sweet. These men don't rush into bed, they go on dates, they hold hands and their relationship develops at just the right pace.Ben is completely unfazed by Stan's past,he just sees a beautiful man he wants to be with.On Stan's part,he's never had the kind of attention Ben gives him from any other man.
It's not all rainbows and sunshine, though, when Stan's demons from the past resurface. However it wasn't unnecessary drama and played an important part in these two men's relationship.
What can say about this series apart from it's just delicious. It's no secret I absolutely LOVE these Authors and I don't know why I waited so long to read these books.
Dystopian,Very Erotic,Extremely Kinky with two of the most loveable characters ever.
With The start of unrest very much evident at the end of book two,Erik finds himself betrayed and he and Reuben are forced to flee to London. Reuben finds himself truly conflicted. He's just, happily, settled into his role as Erik's pony and now must adjust to being just a 'man'......will Erik still want him as much? He's also forced to evaluate his feelings for Erik when he discovers Erik has not been completely honest with him about his abduction.
In London Erik must put his trust in people he considers friends but are they really all they seem to be? This one is definitely my favourite book in the series.I loved Reuben and Erik so much.I haven't read that many D/s books but the one problem I have with them is that I find them too clinical, with no emotions. It's not the case here.I could really feel the different emotions these two men felt for each other.
I've mentioned in reviews before for these Author's books that they create some of the best M/M couples and Erik and Reuben are, without doubt, number two......(Dom and Seth will always be number one )
I've read this series virtually back to back and have absolutely loved it.
More kinky pony play with Reuben and Erik.Loved it!

These two Authors have created some amazing, loveable and totally different couples in their books and this is no exception.I adore Reuben and Erik.
In book one Reuben was more defiant but here he just wants to please Erik and be the perfect pony for him. He's just adorable! Erik is trying so hard not to get too emotionally involved with Reuben but is increasingly infatuated with Reuben. He can be so ruthless in certain situations but is horrified at the thought of hurting Reuben and never really intends to humiliate him( there were a couple of scenes where I really felt for Reuben ).
While the first book wouldn't be considered a romance, this one is slowly turning into so much more than pony play. You can definitely feel the start of Political instability and I'm a bit frightened about how this will affect Reuben and Erik but.....bring it on,I can't wait! I can't fangirl enough about how much I love these Authors.Their books are raw, gritty,so damn sexy and they keep on pushing the boundaries but it works every time for me.
If you've read these two books check out Jack's Punishment......it's about time that gorgeous boy got some loving.......more

London 1907, twenty years into the zombie Plague
Reuben is a baker living in the slums of London, sharing a room with his father and an extended family of cockroaches. Poor, uneducated, and repressing all his sexual desires, he leads a life of misery, only sometimes sprinkled with gin and a rough tumble in a filthy back alley.
But when he is abducted into Bylondon to be the slave of a wealthy crime family member named Erik Dal, his values are put to the test. His new master is obsessed with all things equestrian, and Reuben soon learns that if he obeys and performs well as Erik’s pony, he might just get everything he yearns for: pampering, foods he never even dreamed of, and shameless sex with a demonically handsome young man in leather riding boots.
As Copper, Erik’s treasured pet, Reuben must submit to his new master’s fancy. That is, if he yearns for treats and not the lick of a riding crop. Fake tails, harnesses, and a new haircut to his ginger mane help Reuben transform into Copper, but the fear of losing his dignity in the eyes of society might just prove to be a bigger restraint than any bit, bridle, or handcuffs.
All that for the small price of his freedom. Though at times, Reuben feels it’s his soul that Erik is after instead.
I don't know how I missed this series ... Firstly it's by two of my favourite M/M Authors... And Secondly it's a Historical M/M.One of my favourite genres and,in my opinion, there aren't enough of them out there.
Reuben is living in the slums of London as a Baker.Deep down he knows his sexual orientation but can hardly admit it to himself never mind anyone else.He wants something more out of life so gets himself into a situation with someone he thought he could trust, only to find himself kidnapped and taken to Bylondon...a place he's heard about but has really no idea what it's like.
Erik Dal is a powerful man in Bylondon and to say he's got a particular kink Is putting it mildly. Erik wants to train Reuben to be his Prize Stallion. And yes, there's harnesses, tails,a stable, straw and a whole lot of kink going on here.I feel as though I'm repeating myself a bit here because this is the second BDSM book I've read recently that totally worked for me(and, trust me this isn't normally my thing). And,again, the reason it worked was down to the writing and characters.
It's told only from Reuben's pov and I found him quite fascinating. He's such an innocent character in a way and it was definitely difficult to read at times. It's not romance,at this stage, but very erotic.I'm sure this won't be for everyone but I'm already reading book two and loving it.
Highly recommend for fans of these Authors and anyone who likes their M/M books very kinky...
This was so good.Totally my thing.Historical M/M,raw,passionate and two of the best characters these Authors have created.

Julian Reece is the son of a wealthy Cloth Merchant. He has no interest in the family business, however. He prefers to spend his time drinking in Taverns and dreams of visiting Italy and becoming a writer. But his life is going to take a dramatic turn when his father decides it's time he got married and sends him off to London to meet his future bride.
Sir Evan Penhart is a recluse.Living in his families crumbling estate. He's finding it more and more difficult to make ends meet.He has a fierce loyalty to his home and servants and is willing to break the law for the upkeep of his estate that has been in his family for generations.
One fateful day Evan and Julian's worlds collide and both their lives will never be the same again.....
Julian sees a way out of his impending marriage and fulfilling his dream.... Evan sees a way of saving his estate....
I'm not going into the story anymore because, believe me,you don't want anything to spoil this plot but what I will say is that I really had no idea which way things would play out on more than one occasion.
The Relationship
Before meeting Evan,Julian had no interest in men and was unaware of the way some men looked at him. However,Evan has always been interested in men but in an era where being Gay was punishable by hanging,he hasn't been with a man for years.
I found their relationship beautiful.Yes,it's brutal at times but so damn passionate and I think both men changed, for the better, for meeting each other.
Some fascinating secondary characters who, while not always likable, played an integral part in the story. There's one in particular whose story I would love to read.
I've been dying to read this one ever since I read the blurb and I can honestly say it was better than I imagined.
