Simply loved this novella! The story is rich with promise and the lead character Binti is a mathematical genius with the added novelty that she isn't ashamed or sorry about her prowess. She uses her mathematical abilities coupled with the traditional knowledge of her people to avert a major catastrophe involving some fearsome and poorly understood aliens, far away from home.
