The book was short, 210 pages. A story was told in alternating chapters from the wife and then the husband. The first 70 pages or so were pretty rough. Then it got better. Until it didn't. Overall I thought it was rubbish. I have to choose better going forward....more

I tend to go for these fiction quick reads after reading a couple meatier non fiction books. The author uses a pseudonym - story is written from a female point of view. The first two thirds of the book were three stars, the last third was two. One already has to suspend belief, but the story went in a supernatural direction that was too much bs for me. ...more

The quotes from the hip hoppers / rappers is a turnoff. Referring to everyone in his examples as she versus he was cheesy too. There were parts I liked. Much of the book seemed repetitive to me....more

I disliked all three, though I was open to thrillers. Five pages in I hated the style in which the characters in this book were written. But I started this trilogy and I was going to finish it. The premise was ok, but the characters were such crap. Hard to explain - just take my word for it. Skip this book....more
