I was inspired to read this out of a new fascination with the Ballad of Tam Lin (thanks to the book 'The Dogs of Babel' by Carolyn Parkhurst). However, this book just took too long to get into the story and didn't build enough interest... I did a lot of yawning and a lot of skimming... I found myself really not caring about the petty intrigues of a bunch of high schoolers (which could be because I'm 36, so if you *are* a high schooler, you might enjoy reading this), nor did I feel that the book handled teen pregnancy with the gravitas that the topic requires...
