Where do I begin with this book? I was a diligent reader long before reading this book, but once I read it, I went from being a diligent reader to being a reader who is obsessed with it. Malcolm was the model and blue-print for my reading obsession. This book is the most complex, deep, socially relevant, enriching, rewarding, inspirational and motivational book that I've ever read. It is close to being the perfect book, a book that will positively blow the mind of any academic, open-minded human being who has the honor and opportunity to read it. Malcolm himself said that a person does not realize how his life can be changed by reading one book. I find it hilarious that, for me, Malcolm's book has been that 1 book. I will cherish this book forever.

PS--Chapter 4 in "Reality's Pen: Reflections On Family, History & Culture" by Thomas D. Rush is called "Inspiration." That chapter is really a moving dedication to Malcolm X. Anyone interested in Malcolm X will find that chapter worth one's while. In addition, there is much to be gained from the rest of the book.
