My longest friend (of nearly 28 years) and I read this when we were around middle school age and it made an impression on both of us: a love for reading and writing. We decided to read it again at 36 not remembering anything about the story.

Let me tell you that the feeling it gave me then is still there. I loved this book as a child and I'm happy to say it still holds up.

I plan on going through all of Sharon Creech's work to revisit this feeling again and again. 🖤
