"House of M" was something I had read several years ago, but felt the need to reread it. I am glad I did.

Bendis' great story, backed with very good art, makes for a truly epic read. The Scarlet Witch has gone a wee bit nanners. She has convinced herself that she has children and they are real. She is powerful enough to have even created such a world.
She was brought "under control" by Charles Xavier and Magneto. They housed her on Genosha and are trying to heal her, but her reality warping powers are starting to break through Xaviers control. Thus the Avengers and the X-men meet up to decide her fate.

At this point Pietro decides to try and convince Magneto to try and save his daughter. Suddenly the world as we know it is different. A white light blinds everyone, and when they wake up their lives are different. This is the world of "House of M".

Mutants rule the world and humans are a subspecies. Everything is different- Spiderman is married to Gwen Stacy, Dr. Strange is a psychologist, Steve Rogers in 90, etc. Only Logan seems to remember a different world.

No more spoilers. A really entertaining read. I enjoy much of Bendis' work and this one is par for the course. Do you like Avengers or X-men? Want to know how the whole "No more mutants" came about? Then this is the book for you.
