I have all the respect for the ideas and the themes of this book. But it wasn't well-written. The characterization and plot development were so one-dimensional and mediocre. The whole book felt shallow and massively underdeveloped. There's this whole gentrification issue that is introduced but not done anything with.

I'm all for a massively unlikable female protagonist (jeez, Margot is foolish sometimes), but only if she's well written.

I liked the content, hated the presentation.
