it was amazing

** spoiler alert ** I could know this book at our English class. We’d given a chance to choose a book what we want to read. It was ‘Jeremy Fink and the meaning of life’ and ‘A monster calls.’ I chose this book, ‘A monster calls.’ I choose this because teacher told us each plot of those books and I liked this book’s plot. I think I did well. After I started reading this book, I was surprised. Illustrations of this book captivated my hear. I expressed its story really well.
The main character of this book is Conor. Conor is really poor boy. His mom has a cancer and his parents divorced. Even he does not have any friends. One day, a monster showed up. Conor thought that it is just a nightmare. But things went on strangely. It is not just a nightmare. The monster always showed up at 12:07 and he told Conor three stories. After that, Conor could told his own story that he tried to avoid and hide.
I think the monster is Conor and Conor is the monster. He made this nightmare because he couldn’t stand his hard condition. And maybe he could have a disease, named schizophrenia. The things were too hard to stand for young boy. Conor knew that his mother would die, but he didn’t want to face a reality. Actually, he wanted that everything is done. Even if his mother's life is taken. He is really poor guy, If I were him, I think I would do like him.
I really enjoyed reading this book. But its story was too difficult to understand. What I felt was that every people could have their own monsters in their mind. And it's not that bad thing.
