The adorableness of this book sucked me in immediately. It was one of those books where the first page sucks you in and you take off swimming with it like it's the most natural thing in the world. The writing clicked. The storytelling clicked. And I was smiling my favorite moony, lovesick smile for nearly the whole first half.
It. was. adorable!
And I loved everything. Stone with his unexpected depth, and is sweet sensitive soul. Lily with all her quirks and anxieties (which, hoo boy, could I ever relate to). I loved the secondary characters and the way they supported each other. The way the female friendships were written here was especially uplifting and fulfilling. I think we've all dreamed to have a squad at our back, holding us up and making us laugh no matter what. There were pop culture references that had me smiling so big, and just the overall vibe was...well, have I mentioned that it was adorable?

It did slow down for me a bit in the second half. The plot meandered a bit and I lost a little bit of patience with the conflict piece (which is not unusual for me). I might have liked a little more closure between Lily and Cameron, the arch-nemesis, but overall - it was still a super cute, super satisfying read.
This one will appeal to all ages I think. The chemistry between Stone and Lily is on point, and in case I haven't made myself clear, it was ADORABLE! I'll be back for more where this came from! ~ Shelly, 4 Stars
