Teresa “Teri” Dr Taylor I want to read your book, yet I am afraid because I know already it gives me knots in my stomach thinking about the content. Being Protestant for most of my life ( out of my almost 60 years I have been Catholic for 10 of those years), I’m afraid of that inner nature of not listening to anything the Church says because they have become the Borgia or Medici popes again.
But, I don’t want to be divisive that way. I see the regular people and even Saints like Catherine of Sienna in that time period still following the true ways of the Church. Yet, when God called St. Catherine to speak to the Pope and leaders she did so.
God’s ways are not our ways. As an older wife, mother and grandmother I know what I am called to in my family to do. I guess I am afraid of being “more afraid” if that makes sense

That makes a lot of sense, Teri. The book of Ecclesiastes says, "For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow." In anything, if you stop and stare, you will find great reason for sorrow. To see something is to drop through the world - you'll find the world transparent and passable, falling through with nowhere to land. With a habit of seeing, everything you turn your attention to will reveal itself for what it is, and you will fall through the world. This because "the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead." So, when you stare at the world, you stare at the abyss that clings so closely to it, and everything becomes passable and you fall through.

There is only one thing for anyone who is given sight, and that is to cry out continually, "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner!" And he will reach down and grab you to preserve you for the Earth which is not passable.

Teresa “Teri” Thank you, @J.R., and thank you also for being kind and nonjudgmental in your eloquent comment to me.
I, in no way, want to discredit Dr. Marshall or his work on this latest book. He has always been an excellent writer of fiction and nonfiction, as well as an exemplary Catholic Family man in all of his actions and I greatly respect him.
I know I could be accused of burying my head in the proverbial sand regarding the Catholic Church at this time period.
But, unless I’m in a position where Our Lord calls me to do something concrete about the situation, then my role is to pray and that means to pray without my mind focused on who is “doing deeds of darkness” and who isn’t. As I said before, my human nature is such that I KNOW that I cannot know all the intrigues and pure evil going on in the hierarchy without thinking and acting out, “Just who are they to tell me what and what not to do!!?”
So much division and anger in this country (USA) keeps me reading only the headlines, and I just feel more divisiveness in my Faith is not good for my spirituality.
Either I believe that the Catholic Church is Christ’s Church that the gates of Hell will not prevail against or I don’t. History has shown where former Papacy’s that were filled with all manner of evil may not have been straightened out in that time period. But it seems when God Himself decides the sins have added up to tip the balance, it is He who delivers an indictment and punishment far worse than we could ever conceive.
One more thing as an example; I understand how many Catholics feel about the Norvus Ordo that we now have since Vatican II. The feelings seem somewhere between nostalgia for the former Latin Mass to condemning the N.O. as an outright abomination and heresy.
But, I am sure I would have never embraced my Catholic Faith as I have, even after researching and praying my way through the history of the true Church, if the Mass had been completely in Latin. Having said that, I NOW appreciate the older Churches and Cathedrals and their beauty as well as the beauty of the use of Latin.
Thank you again, for your kind reply. I am in prayer for our Church, and for all Christians everywhere, as it seems the world and even this country, become more intolerant of Christianity. Actually, almost a deep hatred and opposition to Christianity and a renewal of strong anti-Semitism that continues to grow. In your own prayer and, that ancient but ever new prayer of “The Pilgrim” : Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner!”

Linda If you are, as I am, a Catholic for whom the changes after Vatican II have left you troubled, this book explains why. I was 10 years old in 1965, old enough to remember the Latin Mass, not realizing how much I loved it until it was taken away. This was followed by “guitar masses” in the very early 1970’s, which made the Mass almost unrecognizable. Dr. Marshall outlines the circumstances that led to Vatican II, which shockingly began over 100 years prior. A very dark pattern emerges with each papal conclave – culminating with the election of Pope Francis.

Dr. Marshall explains how La Salette and Fatima fit into the infiltration puzzle as responses and warnings. Naturally, it borders on conspiracy theory to refer to communist infiltration; however, the explanation as to how this has happened is made abundantly clear.

The splendor of the Catholic churches that were built through the latter 19th century is largely gone, as is the Latin liturgy. On a personal note, my mother had expressed dismay at the Catholic church becoming “Protestantized.” As a young person I didn’t really know what she was talking about. After reading Infiltration, I believe I do.

It’s difficult to say which part of the book is my favorite, but to that point I did appreciate the explanation of La Salette. Having heard of it but never knowing the specifics, they are found to be quite chilling. Most important, though, is the hope and solace that Dr. Marshall provides in describing in detail the options that we Catholics have. Identifying the obstacles and choosing your path going forward, are key. Pray the Rosary (I do, in Latin). Thanks to Dr. Marshall for writing this book!
