More Than Human is a posthuman fiction. It also won the 1954 International Fantasy Award, which was also given to works in science fiction. It is a earlier prominent sci-Fi books without the like of Dune or I, Robot those with space opera or AI concepts. Its themes about post human for the later Si-fi generations are not quite novelty but it was published in 1953 so that it was interesting in the time 1950s. I was hooked by the introduction which is a story about a bunch of kids who had superpower, I was wondering what kind of the earlier book would tell a story about superb kids with omnipotent faculties. After I read it, was merry to see this book which isn't another book with superman plots, the themes in this book pivoted the book instead of the superpower children. By introducing those superpower kids as easier digested plots in order to show more complex themes to readers. And I must say it has done well enough not only enjoyed the story also ruminated the concepts of the book.
More Than Human is easy read to me rather than difficult as I initially though. The story wasn't elaborated complicate Science subjects or theories, mostly its cornerstone of the story was developed by characters, those character's stories would reveal their abilities would be potential threat or a testified assumptions of evolution to mankind communities. Sometimes deformities don't regard to maimed patients or dimwits, on the contrary it could be a sing of significant involution of humanity.
I really don't think the writing style is too archaic to comprehend, I finished reading this book in one day ,hence I didn't face any obstacle of reading this book. I think it a book could be enjoyed by many readers, especially those readers who savor old fashion books.
