This was the last book I had left in order to be caught up in the Wildstone series and it’s my favorite of the bunch! That’s really saying something because every single one of the books in this series have been a five star read for me. This one follows sisters Brooke and Mindy after Mindy shows up on Brooke’s doorstep on the verge of a breakdown. She convinces Brooke she needs a break, they’ve been kinda estranged and Brooke wants to make peace. So they sorta switch places and Brooke finds herself back in her hometown with her niece and nephews while Mindy stays at Brooke’s place in LA. I love a trading places type premise so I was instantly drawn into this one.

Much like JS other books I’ve read this one had something for everyone. There’s a second chance romance between Brooke and Garrett, a marriage in crisis with Mindy and Linc, a beautiful setting in Wildstone, CA, adorable kids and the authors trademark humor and wit. This was also sexy and playful but dealt with serious issues as well, can y’all tell I just adored it?! I’m kinda sad I’m caught up now but super excited a new book comes out in January!
