Code Name Verity (Code Name Verity, #1)

This book was as wonderfully gay as I hoped it would be. While reading I realized not only what a pleasure it was to be reading from the view of two women, but as someone from the states, this was the first time I'd really read a WW2 book that was from a European view that wasn't Jewish or about the Holocaust. I found issues with the way the Scottish language was presented, but I adored these characters and at one point toward the end I had to read a certain part six times for something to only kind-of sink in. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book, even when I was pissed, but I do plan on reading the second one.
