Fascinating person/topic. Painfully stilted writing. I should have read the non-fiction bio instead.

Heidi Rauch Exactly how I felt!!! I couldn't even finish.

Melissa Same. I didn’t realize the “woke” language I would be reading. Why every new fiction book feels it has to intertwine such language? The core of the story I enjoyed, but that is it.

Rae Millman I totally agree. I don’t think I can finish it.

Allie Piippo Agreed! I only got 10 minutes into the audiobook before I quit because of it 🤷‍♂️

Monica Agreed. Wikipedia was written better.

Marian 4 chapters in and trying to decide whether to fight through it… there’s a non-fiction bio? Cause the writing is brutal

Jin Me too!

Beth Agree completely! Couldn't finish. Read the catalog from the Morgan Library's show on Greene. Lots of fascinating essays.
