I'm looking back at a couple of the reviews I've written in the last couple of years, and PLEASE IGNORE THE PARTS IN THE REVIEW FROM 2021-22!!!!
While yes, I admit I really enjoyed this book when I read it the first and only three times, I am now a changed person. I first read it when I was 16, and now at almost 20, I learned the importance of discerning what is good for you and what isn't. This book left a really distorted view for me of what a romance novel is. Quite clearly, this book is NOT a romance novel. It is a book that shows on-page domestic abuse and attempted rape, and somewhat romanticizes it. It pisses me off how this book is marketed.
PARENTS, do not let your kids or teenagers read this book, yes that includes middle school and high school students. There is no need for them to be reading something that is so graphic, toxic, and damaging at such a young age.
To anyone who wants to read a Colleen Hoover book, I am not going to judge you, but please be aware that her books do romanticize toxic and abusive behavior, specifically from men.

i’ve finished it for the third time, and this book never ceases to amaze me. this truly is one of my favorite books of all time. now on to my most anticipated release of this year… its sequel, it starts with us. OMFG I CANT BELIEVE IM SAYING THAT!! AHHHH!! ok imma go read lily and atlas’s continuation. bye!!
