it was ok

I know this book is on the top lists for everything, but I really couldn't get through it. Story is told in first-person about a couple of girls who serve in the British army during WWII. One is a pilot, the other, a wireless operator. Exceptional attention to historical detail, really sets the scene; however, the military jargon and period slang are confusing, let alone tiresome. I grew impatient trying to decipher the plot. Only for girls who are super-into historical fiction or airplanes. I don't think this one's gonna be very popular with kids.
