this wasn't well written at all, but was interesting. i thought the intertwinement of the journal entries was engaging. but this whole book is just so unrealistic (not the abuse, but pretty much everything else outside of it). i think the overall message was there, but I just think it could have been written so much better. there's many better, more poignant books on the topic
