did not like it

I HATE this HORRIBLE book. It's pretentious, and completely unrealistic. Spoilers: The protagonist overcomes her misery only because she is able to MIRACULOUSLY fend off her attacker when he attacks again at the end. Most rape victims will never be able to get this kind of satisfaction at the end. I would be more forgiving of this horrible book, if the she was able to come around at the end by means apart from "victorious 2nd battle." I find the ending offensive, unhelpful, and disturbingly unrealistic.

The novel deals with a sensitive issue, so people are afraid of hating the book, but I hate it because this weak character supposedly finds strength at the end... But how that happens is ridiculous, and would never happen in real life! Give young girls a hero they can actually look up to, instead of one who gets lucky in a battle against someone she would never be able to overpower!

I can't forgive the ending, and I hated the rest of the trite book on top of it.
This book had huge potential, but oh well.
