it was amazing

This is an utterly brilliant book. It's quite different from Middlemarch, and yet I could discern traces of Dorothea Brooke and themes that would later become prominent in Eliot's works. More later, but suffice it to say, this is a palpably powerful book. Many a time, I felt as though Eliot was speaking directly to me. Highly, highly recommended.
