While I have loved all of her previous books, this book did not do it for me.
It felt repetitive-like the author had to reach so many pages and so kept coming up with new scenarios to show how the main character was still very much attracted to her ex. We get that the sexual chemistry is still there!
I didn’t hate the book; I was underwhelmed, and I wasn’t invested in the protagonist like I was with Henry’s previous ones. She was dumped after 8 years by the love of her life and doesn’t ask for a better explanation? And he doesn’t give one? Yet he’s this beautiful sensitive soul….just uh-uh.
One thing I love about Henry is her wit, and this book doesn’t disappoint with that. There are some funny and witty conversations that got me to keep reading (rather than just skipping to the end to see what happened).
