I already enjoyed the first book quite a lot but the second book was even better. Some trilogies suffer from middle book syndrome, however, this certainly does not. It got treason, spies, magic, fights, politics, great characters, unpredictable twists and turns…. Basically everything I want in a good fantasy book 🥹

I’m really enjoying these books so far and I think more people should read them! I think you’ll enjoy these books too if you’ve read the Folk of the Air series by Holly Black or even the ACOTAR series (especially A Court of Wings and Ruin) by Sarah J. Maas 🫣
