really liked it
bookshelves: fantasy, erotic

I was expecting more about the nymph attack, but it was straight into more college stuff.
Usually, by book 3 we would have a clear romance and the focus moves on to the next challenge, but the author rips that away and we are back to everyone hating each other again.

There wasn't as much comedy, but there were still some lines that made me chuckle. Sadly, I am not a fan of the authors sex scenes. She does amazing action and angst, but I just don't feel them. Something about the writing pulls me out of the scene. It does happen less with Tory's scenes.

I love Tory, but I find Darcy a bit annoying. I liked Orion less in this one, maybe because of that.
I want Darius with Tory. It would be perfect if it was both Darius and Orion. I don't know why the author didn't give Seth and Caleb to Darcy. Max is excess.

I had already guessed what Order the girls would be from when it was mentioned as being extinct. I was a bit disappointed with how it was discovered. They should have died. It was a bit confusing over what did happen. I hope it gets explained in the next book.

I am not surprised by Diego, I think I can see where that is going. A boy, butt hurt because he doesn't get what he wants, usually the so-called 'friend'. I wanted him to fail the academy. I hope he dies.

The trials were not that interesting. I did want more, or maybe more showing. I found it hard to picture what was happening in the fire one. Why were they on the same bridge?

Jumping straight into the next book.
