Useful Overview and Analysis
Being in the health care field, I was curious about this book. While the diagnosis of “autism” is something I’ve encountered frequently, my knowledge of it was limited. My hope was that a book written for parents who are dealing with the diagnosis for their child might help me understand it better.
That it did. At one level, the book offered a good overview of different levels of the disease- and how one might deal with it. These sections alone achieved my learning objective.
But I was also impressed with the great depth that the book offered in later chapters. It took the basic knowledge to another level.
There remains a lot that I don’t completely understand, but am glad that I took the time to read this book. I would imagine that it would be enormously helpful to a parent trying to deal with the reality of the diagnosis of their child. But I can’t presume to know that for sure.
Here’s hoping. Thanks for the research and writing of this.
