Gregor the Overlander (Underland Chronicles, #1)

Overall, this was enjoyable and a really easy read. That works out great for me since all my books lately feel heavy. And I know I’m an adult, but something about this book was so intense. It was the fate of a defenseless creature, and I spent the entire time so worried about the fate of said creature that I really couldn’t enjoy all the action. I’m good to read books about adults dying or in danger (even though sometimes this is heavy too), but I think I’m just too soft about living things that are so young and in trouble.

Great review, Mon. I feel the same way about stories with doggies. I can read all the murder and mayhem with adults, but God forbid the dog die. NO WAY!!! I'll fret and worry the whole book about anything bad happening to the doggie.
