The Sour Lemon Score (Parker, #12)

if there is anything that ruins Parker's plans it's bad accomplices. This story begins with the heist and all goes as planned until the accomplice kills two of the team and Parker barely escapes with his life. The rest of the story is Parker trying to chase down the turncoat and retrieve the money. It become a triangle of New York City, Philadelphia, and D.C. I didn't remember this one from my previous reading of the series and it's a great variation of the formula where the caper itself isn't the center of the story. The story changes focus to different characters in different cities rather than just stay with Parker. You get a feeling for his ethics. He doesn't mind killing, if necessary, but won't do it just to make things easier. And the ending is a bit of a surprise.
