An excellent book for dog lovers and people making important choices about getting one. We’ve had a series of great dogs and several times have tried out new breeds. We’ve used books like this to help us make choices that fit our homes and lifestyles.

It is so sad to see people make choices for dogs that they can’t sustain- and then give the dogs away or worse. Books like these can help with bad fits and buyer’s remorse, and help prospective owners be more fair to the animals they select.

This is the best one of these books I’ve seen. One of the most extensive set of breed choices along with very useful information about each of them. The information matched up well with our experience with particular breeds.

There were also great pictures to accompany the information. Very well done.

We are thinking about our next dog and I will need to review the book one more time- with a different purpose in mind. A great resource to have in making this important decision!
