Wow! This book brought emotion and forgiveness to new heights.

First of all, I absolutely loved this book. I was unprepared for the depth of emotion, the epic feel of Vaughn and Sasha's story, and the extent of love and forgiveness these characters are capable of. My heart ached for Vaughn and his early life, as well as his state of mind at the beginning, to the path he takes when he thinks he’s found himself. I also felt for Sasha as she struggles with the realization of her dreams, only to have them yanked away from her.

Katy Regnery crafted a beautiful, emotional, and at times, devastating story featuring flawed characters capable of love and forgiveness. I enjoyed the poetry and the translation of Russian words and sayings. I felt close to Sasha and even though I’m far from a ballerina could experience her joys and sorrows along with her. This book is perfection. I understand how the experiences of Vaughn could color his world into what it was, what it became, and what it is. A wonderful, incredible, and unputdownable read.
