Its an enjoyable read with plenty of boyhood war time adventures. A couple of very dry chapters in the middle caused me to stop reading it for a while but it soon picks up again. An indie book written in the author's second language so big respect for that. Would be of interest to anyone curious about Greek village life during WW2 and the Greek civil war which happened immediately afterwards.
