I really love how this book did such great character development in the first chapter. It’s done so easily and quickly. As the title suggests, Dad’s doing something weird in the basement. With Mom away and Dr. Brewer acting odd, it’s up to Margaret and Casey to uncover the truth.

I love the little lesson about DNA. Not just creepy, but filled with some important lessons too.
